Sheila Webber's Information Literacy Weblog - "the winner of the information literacy logo contest was announced, at the UNESCO session of the IFLA World Library and Information conference. The winner was the young Cuban designer Edgar Luy Perez, based in Havana. At www.infolitglobal.info/logo/ there is more information about the logo and the designer.

The idea is that this should become a recognised logo internationally, with more and more people using it. You can also download the logo in various formats, and with or without the word "information literacy" (in several languages, with more to be added)."

‘Information Behaviour of the Researcher of the Future’ by the CIBER research team at University College London new report, commissioned by JISC and the British Library, counters the common assumption that the ‘Google Generation’ – young people born or brought up in the Internet age – is the most adept at using the web.
